In August, the UF Health Children’s Healing Garden broke ground in front of UF Health Shands Hospital. The healing garden is a one-of-a-kind facility designed to uplift the spirits of our patients and families through distraction, relaxation and physical activity. The garden will include walking paths, butterfly gardens, a relaxation area with seating, raised gardening beds and interactive areas for children of all ages to engage in unstructured exploratory play.

Enjoy these progress photos, including photos of the UF Health Child Life Program team participating in concrete stamping, and stay tuned for more information regarding the official opening of the healing garden.
