RENOVATIONS ARE COMPLETE AND SUBWAY IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN.

New look, better efficiency, same great taste

Patients, visitors, faculty and staff will notice some major changes at the UF Health Shands Hospital Subway. The renovation will increase efficiency, enhance aesthetics and update the floor plan. The restaurant will close Friday, Nov. 2 and reopen Tuesday, Nov. 6 at midnight.

During this time, Wendy’s hours will be extended to accommodate customers. Please review the updated hours below:

  • Friday, Nov. 2: 6 a.m.-4 a.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 3: 5 a.m.-4 a.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 4: 5 a.m.-4 a.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 5: 5 a.m. to midnight

After the overhaul, larger families and groups of staff can dine together comfortably at new community tables, which can accommodate up to eight people. In addition, guests will have access to sleek dining booths equipped with charging stations.

Customers can also expect increased efficiency during their ordering process. Sandwich prep tables will be moved lower to increase visibility and the glass dividers will be replaced. New ovens will increase the consistency and quality of bread for an even greater taste, and a guest-accessible Pepsi Spire machine will offer eight drink flavors, including non-carb options.

Thank you for your patience as we enhance your dining experience.
