New District 8 Medical Examiner’s Office – Groundbreaking

At a groundbreaking for the new District 8 Medical Examiner’s Office, chief medical examiner William Hamilton M.D. and UF Health chief of forensic medicine Bruce Goldberger Ph.D. (center) gathered to celebrate the start of construction. The facility is expected to be completed by Oct. 1, 2018 and be twice the size of the current building. UF Health Pathology and Forensic Medicine operates the District 8 Medical Examiner’s Office under contract with Alachua, Baker Bradford, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy and Union counties.
