Published: July 31st, 2014

Category: Announcements

The State Fire Marshal will be testing the Fire Alarm System Friday, Aug. 1.  All alarms within both UF Health Shands Medical Plaza and Davis Cancer Pavilion will be activated. This normally means that everyone should “leave the building.” However, please ignore any alarms during the two-hour time period and do not leave the building for the testing of the alarm system.

There will be no overhead announcement prior to or after the test.  Signs will be posted on the main doors and elevator doors announcing the times and the test.

Test of the system will be conducted :

#1—Between 9 and 10 a.m.

#2—Between 10 and 11 a.m.

Please notify all staff and have staff make visitors and patients aware of the testing times. If you need more information contact Steve McElroy, UF Health Shands Facilities project manager (mcells@shands.ufl.edu).
